Who is she?

Rebecca Hope is an award winning Singer Songwriter and Guitarist from Pembroke, Ontario.

Although she has lived in the biggest cities in Canada, earning her degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver then pursuing her music career in Toronto, Rebecca recently felt a calling to move back to where she grew up.

After spending more time there during the pandemic, walking the beach by her mothers house and spending time on the land, she learned songs come more easily and that she feels more at peace in the company of the river, the trees and her family. Though Rebecca was worried moving home might affect her music career, she followed her heart and has continued to reach success.

In Fall 2023, Rebecca showcased at the Folk Music Ontario Conference in London where she was also announced as a recipient of the Taylor Mitchell Bursary Award at the Folk Music Ontario Awards. She has recently released her second single, “Believe in Love,” which has amassed over 3,000 streams on Spotify in its first month.

For over seven years, Rebecca worked as a performer for Siegel Entertainment Talent Agency in Toronto and Vancouver. Rebecca has also booked festivals such as Weesageechuk Begins to Dance Festival, the Paprika Festival, and what was the infamous SabStock in the Ottawa Valley where she grew up. After releasing a live performance video of her song “The Light” in 2017, which Rebecca wrote while questioning her spirituality, she won Best Live Performance in the Canadian Songwriting Competition.

Rebecca’s honest lyrics, rustic acoustics, and raspy vocals make her a grassroots artist and performer to remember. From a small town to the big stage, Rebecca Hope inspires and empowers others to chase their dreams and embrace who they are. Just listen.
